Especially when you factor it.

1. You can't vote them out
2. They either die or retire. Meaning they all last for 20-30 years with 0 change.
3. They are wealthy and all come from the same elite schools. No. Seriously. They all went to Harvard/Yale/Columbia

Etc

Its less silly and more insidious when you consider that its a system made up by wealthy slave owners to keep themselves rich and in power back when 90% of people were illiterate farmers.

Its almost like the same power structures that have always existed continue wielding power and have simply put up an illusionary facade of a fair system to lull the populace into a passive stupor.

wtf. Posts like this are so strange to me.

The intent was never an "insidious" thing - it was to avoid political influence on judges. It's not people from the 18th centuries fault that modern America is its own enemy - they could not have foreseen the GOP wanting power at all costs, including destroying its own people.

Have you considered the possibility of a no party state? Washington did.

Exactly as Washington suggested.
No factions, no national committees, just individuals making arguments.
