Oh yeah I hear astro bot stuff is cool. I feel like an idiot though because I can't seem to figure out how to launch mini games form the included astro bot game, just how to buy little toys.

The guy at the store said that one gave him motion sickness so I wasn't sure if I should try it. What was your experience with it?

Honestly haven't gotten around to trying it yet. Everyone experiences VR differently. Took a few sessions till my stomach stopped hurting while playing squadrons in VR

Using the motion controls for the sword and shield, Skyrim in VR is superior. Climbing mountains and swimming and fighting dragons with 100% immersion because of the headset. It is an actual advancement in the gameplay of the series. That's what people in the 90's dreamed of. Goggles that make the world around you look like the game. A lightsaber hilt doohickey to swing around for your sword. Perfection.

It is. That's one of the better games on VR by a huge margin, and you can tell the base game was partially designed around the VR. It's the true way to experience RE7.

Blood & Truth was interesting a few years back but I definitely wouldn't have you playing that over a number of other titles. It's not awful but it is. Low end mediocre VR title.

There's a few Spider-Man VR experiences which are free to download and play. You can get a good idea of maybe what to expect from some things from them. The first one is borderline unacceptable. Avoid games that look and play like that because they tend to be bad ports of PCVR games. The second is okay. You can mess around in it for a few hours and move on. The third one is better. Gotta keep in mind the really early PSVR stuff was pretty experimental and sadly some people are still trying to sell you some of that junk as if it weren't unplayable. I recommend a number of the PSVR Experiences and maaaany of them are free.

You wanna focus on games that are crisp and have smooth walking instead of click turning and warping (for the most part, as far as actiony games go for sure)

Low resolution in VR is essentially unacceptable. Those games should be graded by quality on the PS Store. It's better if you have a Pro, but still.

Yeah you will need to get used to using the VR

What exactly have you played so far? In this case, I think it's extra important to avoid trash as you're experiencing a new medium basically, and again there is some dirt PSVR content out there

Accounting +, Psychonauts and the Rhombus of Ruin, Trover Saves the Universe

About ten to fifteen minutes of blood and Truth, which was fine other than the nausea. It was the first game I tried without the warping...

Stupid question; how do you get the mini games to start in the included VR playroom? I can use the gacha machine and tap at the little toys, but I can't figure out how to start the mini games. I'm not kidding, I feel like I'm missing something very obvious.

I even kind of like playing with the staplers in accounting + before stuff happens lol

I bought the newest version of Tetris Effect off lrg just yesterday as well as Superhot VR off amazon so I'll definitely try those. I mean I like Tetris to begin with well enough.

Need to be recommending more standard FPS stuff like RE7 or Skyrim if you can stand the resolution of the latter

Farpoint and VFR rock. VFR really nailed the controls using warp and boost

Like, some games out there default to click turning and warping when there is a smooth move option in the menu. It's like there was a serious confusion about the motion sickness or the resolution and it ended up being actually hard to get around the junk for early PSVR titles to have a good time. I think a lot of gamers never formed an opinion about it beyond that phase, sadly. So, it depends on how well you do with or without the click turn & warp stuff. Same with the resolution. I can stand some low rez content.

I'm not sure Superhot and Tetris are quite what you're going for here, but hey. They're not bad at all.

Don't forget to check out the VR Experiences which range from murder mysteries to music videos to rail shooters

You might get a kick out of Golem.

It's all the individual. I have 250 hours and started using VR in general by binging playing Skyrim. I never got sick. My cousin immediately gets sick tho.
