Playing on a GBA with backlight mod. About a quarter way through. Honestly my favorite Star Ocean game so far (I've finished 1 and 2 on PS5/PSP). No need to replay the game over and over to see different endings (No new game+ in 1 and 2 WTF were they thinking?), can max out character skills, grinding optional, and pretty sure there will only be one ending which is good because Tri-Ace never had the courtesy to give New Game Plus to these games anyway.

Also literally only one complete walkthrough to this game on the entire internet and it's a Youtube video series with like 300 views lmao

I like Star Ocean a lot. But it was weird to me how they continued the series after Till the End of Time. you know considering they Pulled a Matrix and let it be known the entire universe was a sim game for the real world.

^Well damn I won't be able to read that spoiler until I finish Star Ocean 3 I guess.

I loved Till the end of time a lot. It was probably my favorite game on that system.

I'll be going through it on PS5. Apparently runs way better on PS5 than it does on PS4, so that's good news for me.

Finished Blue Sphere so I finally get to start Star Ocean 3.
Very ambitious GBC game. I spent about 40 hours playing it and had fun. I really felt for one of the characters at the end.
Final boss wasn't evil afterall and dacrificed herself to save the planet and it's inhabitants. That is some MGS3 stuff right there

I never played 1 or 2. so I don't know if they were like this. However, Three has only a couple of side character slots and so your actions and choices dictate who you get to play with. So just a heads up, if theres character interactions for characters you like, be nice to them and do things in their favor so they are the ones that take the limited slots. You can't change it later. So thats why I am giving you the heads up.

Just the beginning so far because I'm playing so many other games right now. Might be on the backlog for a month or so because of this, but I do love the presentation so far. Pretty graphics are a huge leaqp from PSP and GBC

Yeah the graphics are pretty good. I also found out another one is coming out on the PC
