easier than I remember. I beat the game in 2019 and thought that it was pretty challenging. But now Im a few hours into my second playthrough and its not as hard as it was the first time around. I wouldnt call it a cakewalk but Im not struggling very much. I thought it might take a while to get sued to everything again since its been so long since I played it but I got into my rhythm pretty quickly. It took me an hour to beat the Soul Master boss last time and I did it in 3 tries this time.

Even though its been kind of tame so far Im still enjoying it a lot. Im interested in seeing if Ill experience a difficulty spike later on or if Ill get through the rest of the game without much trouble. Maybe Ill even try to get the true ending this time lol

I definitely warmed to the game on my second playthrough. Soul Master was only tough on the first playthough because I was completely unprepared for the second phase of the fight, and was so pissed off over getting flattened by it (especially since I'd done so well in the first phase) that I just kept getting more and more frustrated the more attempts I made.

The Traitor Lord still kicked my ass up, down, and sideways for well over an hour. Fuck that guy. He's one of the main reasons I nope'd hard out of whatever the boss rush postgame content is called (Hall of the Gods or something like that). One Traitor Lord fight per playthrough is plenty.

Radiance was also pretty frustrating, since I'd never actually done the final fight on my first playthrough.
