Is that now you can find time stamps for specific asmr triggers in the comments by the helpful community. Usually the uploader would do it themselves and they couldn't always do it for longer, 1 hour long videos but now the comments section got us covered.

That's probably the only nice thing to come out of it.

My favourite asmr maker is a man and I'm not gay. PROOF that it isn't sexual!

The sort of tapping and licking and stuff actually really irritates me. I'm more a "someone speaking softly in the background while I grind in a game" type of asmr enjoyer.

I never got the appeal of ASMR.

I remember people used to hate when people smacked their lips when they chewed, now they're actively looking for videos of exactly that lmao

I'm glad the asmr issues have been resolved with most Vtubers and most of the talents can do ASMR again.

I mean, I always feel silly asking about someone whos super popular but do you know of Goodnight Moon then? Shes definitely my favorite for exactly this reason. She has several different series where she portrays various characters within the same universe. Also several where YOU the listener are the same character within a narrative connected across like 3 or 4 parts.

I like her in general, but I especially like her "80s weirdo baby-sitter" role plays which always make me grin.

2 kinds of asmr I really like are when its the kind that makes me grin/laugh while still giving me tingles, or when it's spooky/terrifying while giving me tingles. Eg one of my favorites is still visualsounds' role play of It which was scary in the best way (and also I just like her in general, she was one of the first when I started watching asmr on YouTube 10 years ago)

I used to do a weekly Friday night ASMR thread on CE back in the day. Glad there's other people still into it here!

Tbh I've come to hate the roleplay vids. They're so fucking overproduced at this point.
Just make cool tapping/water noises in a dark room and I'm happy.

I like the weird stuff more than the personal attention stuff since I prefer that in real life most. Don't know if anyone else grew up doing stuff like having their friend play with the back of their head and ask for you to do the same to them, or run their fingers on their back etc

It's because ASMR is a form of entertainment that gives a lot of viewers a feeling of intimacy and lends itself to a mimicry of that. But it's unfair judge it for that reason.

Lots of great ASMRtists are men or not "conventionally attractive" but at the end of the day it's a niche form of entertainment, so the most popular ones are often followed by people who don't actually like ASMR.

Not to mention because it's easy to do, a lot of people who just want to be youtube famous can make thirst trap channels and call it ASMR.

There's also one of my favorites, Angelica, who besides being brilliant and hilarious, also makes fun of all the asmr trends, especially the licking and sexual bait stuff that's done now

I dont even know where to begin posting her videos just to show her humor. Discovered her 5.5 years ago and been a fan ever since

Asmr is the mukbang for ears

I like it though I haven't used it in a while. In the past I've used it to fall asleep. It is the same concept as white noise. Its just nice soothing noise

One of my favorite types is female humming or singing softly. Makes me feel like my mom is putting me to bed when I am little.
