Personally I still prefer Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World, but the Game Boy Donkey Kong is absolutely an incredible game that doesn't get nearly the amount of love it deserves and counts as one of the all time great Mario games. I'd say if you said it was the best platformer on the original monocrhome Game Boy we might have a serious contender if it weren't for Wario Land 2, and I have a hard time deciding between the two.

I think Mario vs Donkey Kong is better but DK94 is still really good.

I never noticed before, but Donkey Kong bookended 2D Mario gaming.

It started with Donkey Kong (1982) and ended with Donkey Kong (1994). Mario's next starring role was in the semi-3D Super Mario RPG before going onto Super Mario 64.

Mad at them for not porting it to Switch and mad at them for the possibility that they will port it to switch but require me to buy a subscription that I refuse to buy to play it.
