"Well, we'll at least see you off the island," you say.

"I'll pause the movie," Cyborg says while picking up the remote.

Everyone goes from living room to elevator and rides down to the lobby.

"So how long are you in California for?" you ask.

"I head home in two days," she says.

"Well, feel free to visit the restaurant again tomorrow," you say.

"Arigato, Rorek-kun."

The elevator arrives in the lobby and everyone walks outside. You go to the coast and Rumiko makes another cloud to ride on.

"Sayonara," she says with a wave.

"Sayonara," you say back.

Rumiko flies away over the water and you watch until she makes it safely across the way. You then go back inside with the Titans.

"Speaking of it being late," Raven says as you approach the elevator. "Are you going back to your place? Or do you want to just spend the night?"

"Yes, I'll stay over," you say. "Though, I don't have my necessities."

"That's alright," Raven says. "I got a package of new toothbrushes, so you can have one of them."

"Thank you," you say. "But there's still the matter of soaps and clothing."

"We can handle that, too," Raven says.

Everyone rides up the elevator and returns to the living room to finish watching Die Hard.

Ellis is dead and the other hostages are shocked. Gruber decides he needs to see what's going on himself, and he heads for the roof. But that's when Gruber encounters McClane! Since McClane hasn't seen Gruber before, Grubers pretends to be an escaped hostage. McClane gives Gruber a gun, and of course Gruber tries to use it against McClane, only to find it is unloaded! McClane knew not to trust anyone he didn't recognize!

But Gruber's team saves him, shooting up the area. McClane escapes but is injured by walking barefoot through shattered glass, and just as bad, he loses the detonators. Now the terrorists can continue with their plan!

Outside, FBI agents have taken control from the LAPD and their headstrong and obnoxious lead agent calls to cut off the power to the building. But this is exactly what Gruber wants, because now they can open the building's vault!

Gruber makes contact with the FBI negotiator, and the FBI agrees to his demands of a helicopter. However, the FBI are planning to trick Gruber, and send "gunship" copters so as to kill the terrorists. But McClane puts it together that Gruber's team will blow up the roof and kill the hostages, and fake their own deaths to escape.

One of the terrorists, Karl, is still enraged over his brother, Tony, being killed. He hunts down McClane, they have a gun fight, and McClane dispatches of Karl. Meanwhile, this hostage scenario has garnered news attention. One Richard Thronburg interviews the McClane children. Which is bad, as it shows the McClane family, and Gruber now realizes Holly is MRS. McClane. The helicopter is arriving, so the hostages are taken to the roof while Gruber keeps Holly with him.

But McClane scares everyone back downstairs with gunfire! And just in time, as the roof is blown up and takes the helicopter with it! Gruber's tech guy, Theo, gets an escape vehicle, but Argyle the limo driver is there to knock him out!

A weary and battered McClane finds Holly with Gruber and his remaining henchman. McClane surrenders to Gruber and is about to be shot, but grabs his concealed service pistol taped to his back and uses his last two bullets to wound Gruber and kill his accomplice! Gruber crashes through a window but grabs onto Holly's wristwatch! He tries to take her and McClane with him! But McClane undoes the watch's strap and Gruber falls to his death!

Mr. and Mrs. McClane make it out of the building, but Karl isn't dead! He rushes at the McClanes, but Powell shoots him dead! The McClanes thank Powell, but then Thronburg hurries over to get an interview. Holly decks him with one good punch! Something busts out through the parking garage door, but it's just Argyle and the limo! Argyle offers them a ride, and the McClanes accept. They ride off into the night with a happy ending for the movie.

"Welp, that's a good note to end on," you say. "I'm going to turn in for the night."

"I probably should, too," Raven says.

Everyone looks at the two of you with raised eyebrows.

"Oh stop it," Raven says. "It's not like that."

"Oh, is that so?" Beast Boy says, raising his eyebrow even more.

Raven grumbles and ushers you out to the hallway.

"Alright, let me get you the toothbrush," Raven says.

"Okay," you say with a nod.

You two go down the hall and turn the corner to the bathroom. You walk inside, she brings out the packaging from the cabinet under the sink and hands you the purple one.

"I hope you like the kind with the little rubber scrubbers," Raven says.

"Yeah, that's fine," you say.

You get the toothpaste and put some on the brush then wet it before setting to work. Raven also brushes her teeth with the new blue toothbrush. You two are side by side as you brush, spit and then rinse your mouths with water.

"So your room or mine?" Raven asks.

"What?" you ask.

"What?" she asks.

"Didn't you just defend to the others that 'it wasn't like that'?"

"Well, yeah, but I was just thinking more like innocent, hanging out and falling asleep together."

"Oh. Well..."

"How about we go to my room? It'll be the most like staying at our place in town."

"Alright," Raven says.

The two of you exit the bathroom, her leading the way. You go down the hall and into your room, which is still furnished in its minimalist way. She also leads the way to the bed and the two of you hop on it together. After taking off your shoes, you get under the covers. The two of you then recline back on the pillows and lie down, looking at each other. Raven smiles and you smile back.

"So this is what married life will be like, huh?" she asks. "Just cutely and innocently going to bed together?"

"I suppose so," you say.

Raven smiles brighter and turns onto her side so she can hold your right hand with both her hands. She then rests her head closer to your shoulder, and you give her a kiss on her forehead.

"Good night, Raven," you say.

"Night, Rorek," she says.

You two settle in and drift off to sleep, her body wrapped around your arm.

You wake up the next morning feeling very rested. Raven is snuggled against you even more than last night, keeping you even warmer. But then you realize you didn't wake up to an alarm and hurry to get your phone to check the time. You've only got half an hour before opening time!

You quickly open your contacts list to dial Emile and hold the phone to your ear.

"Hello, chef," Emile says. "A little surprising to hear from you now. Is everything okay?"

"Well," you say nervously. "I'm going to be running a little late. You have your key to open the restaurant, yes?"

"Yes, of course," he says.

"Okay, good," you say. "I'll hurry over but I'm sorry to put you in this position."

"Chef, it's alright," Emile says, "I understand. You have your fiance, the wedding to plan for, it's absolutely fine."

"Oh. Well, thank you, Emile. Oh, and while I have you on the phone, I'll pass along the breakfast special."

"Let's go with gingerbread pancakes. We're already bringing out gingerbread for cookies and gingerbread houses, so use some of it to serve up some Silver Dollar style pancakes."

"Got it," Emile says.

"Thank you, Emile," you say. "See you in a bit."

You hang up and put your phone away. You sit up slowly but Raven still stirs awake.

"Sorry, Raven," you say. "I have to get going."

"What? I didn't hear an alarm."

"Because I forgot to set one," you say. "It's already seven."

"Wow, that late?" she says with sarcasm.

"Well, sorry, but my job has a normal schedule," you tease back.

You give her a kiss on the forehead before you get out of bed. You look at yourself in the same clothes as yesterday, so you'll have to stop by your place quickly.

"You can join me at the restaurant for breakfast if you want," you offer as you put your shoes back on. "Gingerbread pancakes."

"Thank you for the offer but I think I'll pass," Raven says with a giggle. "Depending on how today goes, maybe I'll see you for a different meal."

"Well alright," you say. "And if you aren't able to make any meal, agree to meet..."

"Here at the tower. Not for anything too special, of course. Just to say good night in person."

"Alright," she says. "That makes things easy for me, at least."

You kiss Raven on the cheek before you exit the room and go to the elevator. You ride back down to the garage, ride Shadowfax away to the main land, and make your way to your house.

The morning commute is a bit rougher than usual, but that's the holiday season for you. You make it to 176 Ledyard and get inside, have an Eggo waffle then shower and freshen up before heading out in the car. You finally arrive at the Magical Melting Pot at 8:11 as customers are filing in.

You get to your parking spot and hurry inside.

"Sorry for the delay," you say as you get your apron and enter the kitchen.

"That's alright, Chef," Harper says. "You can scramble up these eggs."

"Yes, sir," you say.

You scramble up the eggs to be used in the gingerbread pancakes, some omelettes, and of course, just to have scrambled eggs for traditional breakfast dishes.

You keep the frittatas going but they're being greatly outdone by the love of the gingerbread pancakes. The smell of the gingerbread is very enticing, you have to admit.

"Chef," Elena says. "Your friend, Rumiko, is back."

"Wanting another surprise, hmm?" you say.

"Then how about a serving of Cheese-Feathered Hanetsuki Gyoza? I'm going to need big chicken wings, Parmesan cheese, vegetable oil, ground pork, pork jowl, ginger, garlic chives, cabbage, leeks and shiitake mushrooms, and a lot more."

"Well alright," Harper says with some excitement. "I'll get the meats."

"I'll get the rest," Verdinelli says.

"Emile," you say, "you're on sweet 'n' sour sauce. Potato starch, chicken bouillon, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, ketchup and water."

"Yes, Chef," Emile says.

You will also need soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil and potato starch for seasoning, but you take care of getting the rest, namely sake and oyster sauce.

The ingredients are brought together, and you dice up two thumbs of ginger, two cloves of garlic chives, an eighth of a head of cabbage, four slices of pork jowl, half a bundle of leeks, and three mushrooms.

You also use a pair of kitchen scissors to debone the dozen or so chicken wings. The chicken wings are mixed with two tablespoons each of sake and soy sauce and one tablespoon of sugar. Meanwhile, the pork jowl is mixed with the ground pork until it's all an off-white meat. A tablespoon each of potato starch, soy sauce, sugar and sesame oil, as well as a teaspoon of the oyster sauce, is added to the pork and mixed thoroughly before throwing in all the diced ingredients.

You bring the chicken wings over and stuff them with a portion of the seasoned pork, and pinch each of them closed. A frying pan is coated with vegetable oil and you start cooking up the wings, skin-side up, to get the other side golden brown. You then flip them all over, dust with the Parmesan, pour 100cc of water over it all, then cover the pan and have it steam on low heat for 10 minutes.

Once all the water's evaporated and the chicken is cooked through, you remove from heat and plate them, keeping that golden brown, cheese covered side up. You drizzle on that sweet 'n' sour sauce, scoop up some rice to be the side, and done!

The plate is taken to Rumiko and Rumiko seems to be dazzled by the dish. She digs into it quite vigorously, no doubt enjoying the cheese coating the chicken on the outside and the saucy pork stuffed on the inside.

Raven then arrives a few moments later. You wave to each other, and Raven spots Rumiko. They wave to each other, then Raven sits at the bar.

"So, you managed to make it after all," you say.

"Yeah, everyone was on their own for lunch," Raven says. "So, what's Rumiko having, and how come I haven't seen it before?"

"Because we didn't have a dozen chicken wings just lying around," you say. "Do you want to try that?"

"Well," she says with some coy hesitation. "I don't know, I feel like I'd be copying her."

sorry guys, my internet decided to just cut out last night, and now I'm behind on work.

"Well, alright," you say. "But how about something that still has chicken? Well, technically."

You take care of grabbing a couple chicken eggs from the fridge, and put them in the freezer. Then you get some "weak flour," some mirin and bonito dashi stock. You make broth out of the stock and throw in two tablespoons of mirin, two tablespoons of sugar, and three tablespoons of soy sauce to make a lovely sauce.

You also mix five tablespoons of weak flour and a tablespoon of potato starch leftover from making the gyoza. You slowly add cold water while whisking to make a smooth tempura style batter. You bring the eggs out now that they're frozen through to peel away the shells, and then lightly dust them with flour.

You then dip the eggs in the tempura batter and deep fry them for about six minutes at 320 Fahrenheit. At the same time, you take your sauce and heat it in the saucepan for three minutes. They are all done at the same time, and you get the donburi bowl to fill with rice. You pour just a bit of the sauce on the rice, then set the deep fried eggs on top to pour the rest of the sauce over.

You then bring the donburi bowl over to the counter.

"And as they say in Japan, jajan~! The Chiken Egg Tempura Don!"

"Oooh~," Raven says as she sees it hot, fresh and steamy in front of her.

"Oh, but wait," you say. "There's more."

You take a fork and knife to open up the eggs for Raven, and the golden yolks come pouring out.

"Wow....!" Raven marvels. "That looks amazing."

You hand Raven the fork for her to dig in, and she clearly enjoys the deep fried egg and the saucy rice.

Rumiko finishes her cheese feathered gyoza chicken wings while Raven's only halfway done with her donburi. Elena takes her plate and then gives her the bill, which Rumiko promptly pays. Rumiko then walks up to the bar.

"Arigato, Rorek," Rumiko says.

"You're welcome, Rumiko," you say. "Was it good?"

"Very good," she smiles. "Oh, donburi?"

"Mm-hmm," Raven nods while chewing.

"How is it?" Rumiko asks while Raven swallows.

"Very, very good," Raven says. "And all Rorek really needed was a few eggs instead of a dozen chicken wings."

"Mm-hmm," Rumiko says, copying Raven. "But surely it won't be as filling as a dozen chicken wings."

As the two of them put on smiles, you wonder if there's some passive aggressiveness going on here...
