I'd say after 35. If you don't life long friends by then it'll be too hard finding people in your age range who are free enough to hang out with you

Nope. Got divorced at 40 and had zero local friends. I had about 30 a year later and still have most of them at 45 now.

Never too late.

Not really sure, especially because I am on the autism spectrum. But I did these 3 things:

1. Lived in a downtown area and just hung out at bars and forced myself to be social

2. Joined a Meetup group that did stuff all the time

3. Dating apps, as I met a lot of women and actually became friends with a couple of them (after dating) and expanded my friend groups

Also, while I was 40, almost all my friends and dates were 20s and 30s, so they were all single and in a similar stage despite the fact that I had kids
