For some reason using Spotify and listening to songs I want to listen to.. idk, it confuses my feelings? Whatever I listen to just feels like Im going back into a bubble whereas listening to the radio.. searching for stations if the songs are the same jam.. having commercials on makes me feel like Im actually connected to the world >_>

Anyone feel the same way?

I've started listening to classic rock stations when my kid is in the car. He seems to like it more than my music, and there's something kind of endearing about all the awful local used car commercials

Nope. I used to listen to a local alternative rock station for their morning show "Kevin and Bean". But that got canceled, so no reason for me to listen to the radio anymore. I hate constant commercials.

I stopped since I drive a lot less since moving closer to work, and the 15 mins I'm in the car was almost entirely hearing commercials.

I always use SiriusXM. If I use Spotify, it's to listen to something specifically, and it's rarely in the car

I am a Yankees fan, but I like hearing Red Sox radio. Joe Castiglione.

...Actually, one of the best radio moments I had was leaving Boston. WGBH .
It wasn't particularly happy, but it was an interview with Elie Wiesel.
One of my takehomes from that, as I was riding into the sun, was that he stated, it's not up to anyone else to feel the pain he went through. To know of it is fine, but it's not up to someone else to feel that way.

I've been on a radio bent recently. Extremely annoyed about how radio isn't a basic app anymore, and there are no good apps for it at all. Not even sure this phone model has the chip for it.

Yes TC I agree. Having whatever we want to listen to at any time is not as satisfying as happening to catch what you want to listen to while having the radio on.
