Also they do introduce new characters from time to time. Kamala Khan, Ms Marvel, was invented only about 10 years ago

Theyve only sucked since they went "woke" around 2015. Even more recently for DC.

Have you ever read marvel comics from the 60s? That was their glory era. The Marvel universe as we know it now, was created in the 60s and most of the biggest characters in marvel all began then

Yeah, screw those old af characters. It's not like people buy their movies, games, merchandise,... by the billions or anything. There is absolutely no interest in these characters or these stories.

It's just disposable entertainment that varies considerably in its quality. The core problem is that people try to treat entertainment like it's classic literature. They have still sunk to new lows in recent years though.

DC have tried both totally new characters and swapping out those old characters multiple times, but that always results in less sales

Could just not read it.

I'm not into capeshit and I simply just choose to not consume that kind of media. It's not like the existence of capeshit has a negative effect on your life.
