But it kind of retcons what we already knew about Buzz. So longtime fans that care about the story, will be annoyed. And younger fans may not like it as much because it's very different in tone from the Toy Story movies. If he did something to deserve cancellation, the best option would be to not bring back the Buzz Lightyear character. Seriously, who the fuck asked for this movie? Who wanted a depressing, super-serious film adaptation of the "real" astronaut behind the astronaut who didn't realize he was a toy? I applaud Disney finally stepping up and having lesbian characters. But why this movie? That'd be like if Sony put its first transgender character in Morbius. They genuinely would have been better off to have just made it an original story with the Black lesbian character as the lead. They could call it Tomorrow Land. Buzz Lightyear's name isn't going to help sell this movie because he's no good without the rest of the Toy Story crew. If Chris Evans is working with Disney again, I want more Captain America. They can do a Cold War era movie about Cap battling Soviet enemies in the 1950s.
