Terminator movies. It's pretty straightforward and there are no paradoxes.

Original timeline happens. John's dad is someone other than Kyle Reese.
2nd timeline happens. John's dad is Kyle, and both John and Skynet are created earlier than they were in the original timeline.

That's it.

Fine, I'll admit the photo is a little confusing, but that's it.
