If rehab is anything like a mental hospital, I don't blame him; illegal or not. Those places are terrible.

Bam is a sad story. Chronic addiction problems on top of what is likely a severe case of CTE is undoubtedly going to put him in an early grave.

His life really fell apart after Dunn's death. Alcoholism is a killer.

Dude's been spiraling down ever since Ryan Dunn died. It's sad to see man, hopefully he can find a way to put himself back together before it's too late

This. It may have triggered the spiral but Bam does have responsibility for his own life.

It sucks. Liked him in CKY, Jackass, and Viva La Bam. Sad to see and I feel bad for him and moreso his parents who have to watch their child self destruct like that.

I've long since stopped giving a shit about Bam. Dunn's death did put him in a bad place, but when he does shit like this, and also has a retraining order put in on him for threatening someone's children, then that's all on him.

He's had years to get better and be accountable, and Dunn's death has nothing to do with that at this point

We pretty much enabled him to get to this point. It was pretty obvious his lifestyle would have a downward spiral at some point. The other people in Jackass would have these moments of self awareness that Bam never really showed. He never showed the growth that would lead him to be able to not try to keep his young lifestyle going forever.

And I'm not saying it's our fault, since we were mostly either younger or the same age as him at the time and just along for the ride. But, this was one the times I feel people were making money off someone they knew wasn't prepared to deal with what came with his level of fame and attention.

Or maybe, it's just easier to see with hindsight. Cause back in the day, we all wanted his life. Somehow simultaneously having loving parents and no rules.

You're putting so much context to a post that was obviously theorizing and not placing definitive blame on anyone.

Aside from your argument being it was 100% Bam's fault, literally nothing is hitting on what I was trying to get across. And it's in your right to see it as completely Bams fault and I don't feel any way about that being someone's perspective.

Word. Once you see how much frustration can be avoided just by searching for miscommunication in conversation, it doesn't make sense to ignore it.

I definitely stretch words where I feel it might lead me somewhere. And that risks bumping heads if someone perceives it how it's more commonly used.

I actually deal with a much lesser addiction than him. And Im currently trying I figure out where Im being enabled. Luckily mine doesn't get in the way of me living a normal productive life. And to your point, I don't feel like it's the fault of the people I view as enabling. Because they have their own lives outside of yours and it's unreasonable to expect them to sit there and figure out the complexity of you just so that they might not accidentally enable you in subtle ways.
