My super popular reading topic got purged, unbelievable.

Just looking for suggestions, going to be finishing Moby Dick in a couple days. Need something for some beach reading. Id like to keep reading classic fiction but Im also really interested in history.

Some of the Warhammer 40k books are pretty good. I recommend Space Wolf: The First Omnibus by William King.

Some of the classic books I've read recently:

The Innocence of Father Brown, by G. K. Chesterton
Four Day Planet by H. Beam Piper
R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots) by Karel apek
Stand By For Mars (Tom Corbett, Space Cadet #1), by Carey Rockwell
The Werewolf Principle, by Clifford D. Simak
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, by Ian Fleming
A Voyage to Arcturus, by David Lindsay
Right Ho, Jeeves, by P.G. Wodehouse
The Crack In Space, by Philip K. Dick
The Club of Queer Trades, by G. K. Chesterton
The Cosmic Computer, by H. Beam Piper
The King in Yellow, by Robert W. Chambers

Many of these are available free from Standard Ebooks, https://standardebooks.org/

For history, you can't beat The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, by William Shirer. If that's a bit too heavy, his book Berlin Diary: The Journal of a Foreign Correspondent 1934-1941 is really good too.

The White Ship

It's a short story by HP Lovecraft. Personally, I'd just listen to the audio while walking though.

but Im also really interested in history.
A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson is one of my favorites. It's a history of scientific discovery/advancements that manages to be engaging and entertaining.
