I'd take a higher position no matter the job simply because stagnation and complacency are never positive traits.

I stepped down, lost $3/ hr, and have much better mental health and flexibility. Sometimes it's worth it.

It's why I quit my last job.

There is no way I would be able to handle being a manager. I've had plenty of opportunities over the years, but would much rather not take a job I hate if I can avoid it.

The managers at my old job seemed to be overly stressed and the clients demands werent always reasonable. Plus I would be managing the team I was a part of whom Id gotten pretty friendly with.

When I got a new job offer I told my manager about it and she said she was moving up. She said I was the frontrunner for her job. I basically told her I dont want her job and negotiations were pretty much over at that point lol

I would never want to become manager... My immediate managers don't even make that much more than I do but have more than double the responsibilities... Not worth it...

Yeah, I'm not interested in that at all. I've been asked by the manager if I want to consider a supervisor position and I'm unsure even about that; but that is the absolute highest I'd want to go. More likely I'll just look to learn and work in a larger variety of positions at the same level.
