Why wasn't it bigger news the first time it came to light? Why wasn't Long Covid causing erectile dysfunction bigger news? I'm not being snarky; I too find myself repeatedly dumbfounded over the poor messaging when it comes to Long Covid.

You know TC doesn't understand the scientific method when he quotes a retrospective study of a few patients and then asserts a casual relationship. Go back to high school science class and come back after you read up again.

I dont know how to explain to you that 2 and a half years of lost social interaction for a child is a hell of a lot different than the couple weeks or so when right-wingers started screeching about lockdowns

even as a new parent we are constantly making risk assessments about what to do with our child, where its safe to put him, what to feed him, where to take him, etc.

this is another thing to worry about but it is exceedingly rare, serious covid in children remains rare as well and yes, its all something to consider but ultimately its just another of the tough decisions one has to make on a daily basis

I tried having a productive conversation where I was giving a pretty balanced response, but since my thoughts werent as extreme as yours, you insulted me and called me names, just as I have seen you do with others. And I am not even an anti-vaxxer / anti-masker. I did make a flippant response at that time, which I DID apologize for, but you admitted nothing and never apologized at all. You seemed to gain awareness and gave a blanket apology when your main was suspended. But now I see you behaving the same way, and tagging him just to insult is bullying.

I don't remember what you said vs AssultTank, and honestly he was worse. It's alright, but I found it upsetting to be called a selfish right winger who only cares about concerts when the truth of the matter was I was trying to be empathetic about what people go through in regard to mental health and economic hardship and also how children's education (including social) is being hampered.

Also, most of my comments were about how do we handle this stuff long term as it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I also admitted I didn't have the answers. Basically, as I have stated many times, I don't think it is black or white.

Thank you for the chance for me to better understand. Admittedly I have become more radical about politics these past few years and am obviously passionate about COVID so my judgement is often clouded when interacting with people on either subjects. While you did not owe me an explanation or clarification, I sincerely appreciate it and I apologize for the name calling and aggression I've shown to you.

Correct. And, I don't mean this in a argumentative way, but I think the same applies to your situation. You're in a heavily blue area, yes? Or, at least, a heavily vaccinated area. Setting the debate of mitigation efforts being dropped too early aside, I imagine whatever public health measures were in place, your area followed them pretty well. Again, assuming you're in a blue area.

Anyway, I apologize for tagging you. It was childish and unnecessary. I assure you I will not be chasing you down or engaging you about COVID in the future. Other than our differences on this subject, you do seem like you're on the right side of everything else so it isn't fair for me to write you off like I do.
