The level of hate it will receive will eclipse the hate towards current SW EVEN if its decent. SW at least has a range of fans from all sides of the aisle and the sane ones usually over shadow the overly negatives. But...hell hath no fury like an entitled anime fan. These guys will nitpick the size of the fusion earrings. Will complain that Trunks hair is not purple/pink while others will complain that is not purple pink enough.

Hell think I should start a YT channel dedicated to news of this and start the hate train rolling and get views despite me not really caring at all.

More like it'll get judged as hard as possible, probably canceled, and keep showing how unlikely live action anime is to succeed(possibly setting it back even more or whatever

Mr. Popo is kinda racist tho. His name is literally Mister Black & his appearance is like a characature. Not even sure that's the right word for it. But it's troubling in today's climate.

Why are you throwing around the term cinematic universe? That implies that there would be multiple movie franchises which are interconnected. If Disney makes some DBZ movies it wouldnt be a cinematic universe, it would just be a series of movies

Will it be more censored than the Toonami Dragball airings? :P

sorry, but you're wrong. i gotta say, the few holdout fans like me, we're the minority. the ones who wanted at least a little consistency, somewhat decent writing... we're not the audience anymore. the majority of dragonball fans today don't care about that shit. they just want transformations, big explosions and flashy lights to clap their hands and scream HYPE HYPE HYPE at their TVs about.

it's so easy to make them happy it barely takes any effort - and dragonball super has been proving that for years. it's almost impossible for this to fail because no bar is apparently low enough.

Superman vs. General Zod from Man of Steel at least proves that it is POSSIBLE to make a good DBZ-esque fight scene.

They need to find the fine line between trying to make it too real world and goofy (like Evolution did) and being to cheesy/cartoony which would probably happen if they tried to stay ultra faithful to the anime.

No easy task thats for sure.

Disney has done great with marvel and star wars, i trust in dem tbh
