This hurt though. I get that it is to get on Homelanders good side but damn. They really set it up for Super Sonic to be the one to betray I thought. Loved the episode.

But I will say, temp v seemingly giving you three powers of the Supe you hate the most is fucking brilliant. Butcher hates Homelander and Hughie hates A-Train obviously.

It's like A-Train and Deep are in this weird abusive relationship with Homelander. They come off as thinking that if they can make him like them, he will stop treating them like trash.

When Supersonic told A-Train I knew it was an awful idea. Mans kinda did it to himself.

What they did with A-Train kind of remind me of Stormfront where the show does a good job making her likable before pulling a big ass 360 degrees why they're a giant piece of shit to begin with. I really thought it was setting up Supersonic to do the betraying, but I guess he was too pure for this fucked up show lol.

I really do hope Homelander really meets his karma eventually.

I think Homelander's ego will force the confrontation. Soldier Boy is the original hero everyone loves, and there's no way Homelander will let someone steal his spotlight.

What I'm wondering is was Soldier Boy always the weapon or is it something the Russians put in him? If the second, I bet Butcher takes that plus temp V to kill Homelander.

Back in season 1, I thought they were foreshadowing Hughie having dormant super powers with all of those crippling headache episodes he would have. Turns out those were just the show's way of indicating mental trauma building up.

Both A-Train's actions this episode and Hughie taking the super drug seem to indicate that another conflict between the two is almost certain now.

I like how the temp V affects Butcher and Hughie differently.

with Butcher, you see him struggling with it, and how using it is some kinda penance for him.

for Hughie, he's enjoying to the point where he's still riding off the high while everything l everyone else is worrying about Kimiko.

but yea, it doesn't appear like it's a good thing for either of them.
