It's been a few years since I played it but the runtime was definitely padded with missions. Kalm's flashback is now fifteen hours and the game abruptly ends at the Zolom pond, which has a motorcycle racetrack around it for no reason. Completing the best time gives you Knights of the Round. Vincent, Cid and that weird hanged-man hotelkeep from Gold Saucer shows up multiple times throughout for no reason.
