I grew up with Fresh Prince and absolutely loved the show and still carry it with me to this day. I was one of the ones shaking my head at a drama reboot, too.

Wasn't really feeling it that much in the first episode but by the end of the second episode I started to like it more

They changed so much lol, interesting to see all the things they changed but then so many of the minor callbacks they kept

for sure.

I like how it reinterpreted the characters in ways that felt true to the original (*cough* drug addict Carlton and bad boy yardie Geoffrey), for the most part, while also doing its own thing.

Hilary saw the most improvement, IMO.

can't wait for season two.

Im conflicted on the show. Im upset because of all the changes and everybody does things the 90s counterparts wouldnt never do Hilary and Jazz .

It would be a good show if it wasnt tied to Fresh Prince, but I probably wouldnt have checked it out.

That last episode and the performance between Will and his dad was amazing.

I think for me they took things far away enough from the original show that I can appreciate it on it's own merits

Like I don't feel like I'm necessarily watching a reboot, just a show very loosely based on some aspects of the original sitcom

Also, Vy and 2nd Aunt Viv showing up near the end was a nice surprise
