The game is really fun for what it is. I am not being bombarded with pop ups to buy shit like some people are claiming. The only time they offer anything is when you finish one of the instance dungeons for the first time.

I already got 5 legendary items to drop for me. The game is super easy, you just go around spamming skills. Instances are real fun, rift dungeons are fun and real easy to get into

The game is still buggy, though. I play on PC and sometimes my character comes unable to attack. I can still move my character but I can't attack or use my skills. Had to restart the game to get it working again. And I got hard stuck in the game like 4 times but warping to a safe area gets me unstuck.

It's still great for f2p for now.

I like running around kills mobs with little to no restrictions. Party and coop is streamlined. I like finding bosses on the field and killing them for drops.

I'm far from end game so I'm unsure if it'll get any harder. It's very casual for sure if that's a turn off for y'all.

Just got to level 48 last night. I unlocked PVP and Warband Raids, and this is where things get harder and where the lure to use money is prevalent.

PVP is a lot of fun. Two big teams duking it out, doing objectives to win. Unfortunately there's no equal out system in PVP where everyone is equally strong. Individuals are as strong as they can. Played a few games and there was this guy on opposing team who we could not do any damage to and he was one shotting people. He was obviously a whale.

Warband Raids are raids where you have 8 players and fight a gigantic boss who is super strong, is super fast and has tons of AoE attacks. You need a strong good team that knows what they're doing to win. I've only played one of these and we got wiped out.

And the 40+ instances are a bit more challenging now. It's still easy but you can get wiped out if you dunno what you're doing.

What class?

I'm level 48, have 4 legendary items equipped and have legendary gems equipped too but I still feel super weak especially compared to others. To me, this is where the bait for spending money comes to play. You want to be stronger so you buy items to gives you guaranteed drops so you can upgrade faster.

It's easy for me to resist, though.

Yeah I'm on 30 and going the f2p route which is easy because they really don't shove transactions in your face. People who trash this game about microtransactions are actually spoiled cu***s. Mostly all mobile apps are free now and no average person would download anything that isn't free.

Take your own advice

Diablo 2 LoD/D2R is super easy so long as you know what you're doing. DI is casually easy and I think that's the point for a mobile game.

The lure to get you to spend money is to make you get stronger so much faster than you normally could, but the game is so casually easy that you prolly won't feel a wall until you beat the game once and get to level 60 which is max level. I think there's a prestige system to leveling though.

tag. I am enjoying reading these updates and I'm on the fence about whether or not I want to try it (I would be playing on PC and not spending money also) so how things are for you when you get to endgame will be really good to know for deciding whether or not I want to try it.

its a mobile lite Diablo that packs some new features like faction wars and actual PvP battlegrounds. But still has the same grind as previous titles.

definitely not a game for everyone, but these bullshit complaints arent even true.

Yes I have and I can see how it's pretty predatory to get you to spend money but I plan on just playing for the casual fun as I always do. I haven't felt like I hit a f2p wall where I need to spend money to get further yet.

I initially started on my phone and didn't get any ads. From what I've seen, the only ads they prompt is bundles after finishing an instance dungeon. And it's not even a BAM RIGHT IN YOUR FACE ad. You get red dot notification to check your menu and see that it's there where you see the offer.

I guess I'm asking how many of those drops came from rifts that you slotted legendary crests into and how many of those crests did you get from what you paid versus what you got for free?

very few.

one bundle gave me like 6 legendary crests plus the ones you get for free from the beginning. But the 1*-2* can be crafted for cheap.

which is why I said, in hindsight, I really didnt need to spend a dime. I just did so because I just started the game and was enjoying it. Two cheap bundles and the BP.

Most of my legendary drops came from instance dungeons, not from rifts.

Even aside from the drama, it's still a predatory game that's built around making you spend money, just like most mobile games. There's no love in this game, it's all greed.

Games like these and the idiots that throw money into them are ruining gaming imo.

I'd say if you're in it to play casually and have a good sense of will power then you're fine. TBH predatory is a harsh description because it makes it sound like it's doing some detailed layered trick to get you to spend money when they're not. IMO, they have a small bait and lure that's easy to avoid in this particular game.

Can't say the same for their EA games, though like their Battlefront games.

I can look past all the p2w stuff they added since overall the game is pve and I don't really care about being the highest challenge rift and stuff.

What I hate is the mass amount of group play required once you hit hell1. As someone who usually plays alone it's rough to rely on random to either do the right thing or stay in a dungeon to farm out stuff.

apparently to get into a decent guild they have microtransaction requirements. "to join you need to have purchased all battlepasses".

I'm actually quite bored of the game already. Haven't loaded it up at all today and barely played yesterday. We'll see how things go next week. I might be on to a different game by then.
