Shantae the game itself is old enough to vote. I didn't think it has been around that long. But the Switch is having a 20th anniversary sale .

I bought and beat all of them. It's a pretty good series although inconsistent in quality.

Seven Sirens is the best one by a long shot.

There was an 8 year gap between the first two games, the first was a Game Boy Colour game released quite a while after the Game Boy Advance, and the second was a DSi game. They were both quite well received by those who played them, but the way they were released meant not a ton of people played them. The series really got more mainstream gaming attention with the development of the third game, which came out in 2014. This is probably why the series seems younger than it is to you.

The second game while it was originally a DSi title was also released extremely early on the 3DS eShop. It was one of the first games available to purchase. I don't think it was there on launch day but it was extremely early.

It should have been available from the launch of the eShop. The Nintendo eShop for 3DS supported DSi ware titles, and the version available on 3DS was the DSi version. I probably should of mentioned that it was available to play on 3DS too.

Don't think it hits the highs of Pirate's Curse tho

Anything that gives me Donkey Kong Country vibes is A+ in my books.

Risky's Revenge is a super cool game to speedrun too. It has some stupid RNG right at the beginning, but its basically the only determining factor.

Reset a bunch at the start, then pure execution.
