I don't really agree with that logic. Making a difference in the world is much easier when you have bank to back it. Granted obtaining that kind of wealth can corrupt easily.

Yeah, I was going to make a joke about my accidental phrasing, but I just got modded for making a rape joke, so I figured it's better not to.

Steve Buscemi. After 9/11 occured he volunteered as a firefighter for about 4-5 days helping the victims. Believe he tried to avoid being identified as well because he didn't want it to be viewed as an act just for publicity.

I think I'm a human person. I don't generally go out of my way to hurt people. I do donate to charity, and when I was younger would volunteer for various things around where I lived(I don't anymore because I just don'thave the time with working 60 hours and kids.) I also can be petty and vindictive, but a lot of that is generally geared towards people I think are shit and I don't like that they behave that way when I go out of my way to try and help people.

I mean if I was rich as fuck I know I could a lot more good than I can now. And I think a person with those kind of resources can be more fairly judged on whether or not they are a genuinely good person based on how they allocate those kind of resources. Comparing someone that is trying to survive in our current societies vs. someone that has the money or resources to actually do as much good as they can aren't really comparable.

There are many, many celebrities that do a lot of good with their money. If thats your gauge, then yes, there are tons of great people who are celebrities

I think a lot of athletes and actors are probably fine people, no worse than us other assholes. Now, if they are businesspeople, the niceness probability goes way down.

Lets take.. John cena for instance. I think he has done more make a wish things than any celebrity ever. He also made a video apologizing to china for calling Taiwan a country.

It's not a flawed question because there are legitimately bad people that exist in the world. There are also legitimately good people that exist in the world. I don't think having flaws makes you a bad person it just makes you human. Like there are wealthy people that are altruistic and there are wealthy people that are selfish as fuck. The ones that are selfish with that kind of wealth are objectively not good people the ones that are selfless are.

Okay then yes there are good/nice celebrities

Jimmy Carter was an abyssal president, but turned out to be an absurdly decent person otherwise.
The guy is damn near 100, still running a power-saw building houses.

Probably more than expected, as I'm guessing a few of the "shitty" celebs have just been caught on a bad day, and had the rumour mill get carried away with that one incident.

From all reports norm MacDonald was extremely caring and polite to people off camera, which I find interesting

I saw Jeff Goldblum at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didnt want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, Oh, like youre doing now?
I was taken aback, and all I could say was Huh? but he kept cutting me off and going huh? huh? huh? and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like Sir, you need to pay for those first. At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually to prevent any electrical infetterence, and then turned around and winked at me. I dont even think thats a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

When I was younger, maybe junior high, I got roped into watching my 3 month old niece while my sister got her hair done. So when there i am, sitting in the waiting area of a hair salon with my niece and who walks in but Flying Lotus.

I was nervous as fuck, and just kept looking at him, as he read a magazine and waited, but didn't know what to say. Pretty soon though my niece started crying, and I'm trying to quiet her down because I didn't want her to bother Flying Lotus, but she wouldn't stop.

Pretty soon he gets up and walks over. He started running his hands through her hair and asking what was wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry or something. So, Flying Lotus put down his magazine, picked up my niece and lifted his shirt. He breast fed her right there in the middle of a hair salon. Chill guy, really nice about it.
