It has a lot of style and it's super cool, but the gameplay/shooting is just sooooo boring. There's something about it. I'm maybe like 30-40% through, just as a guess, and I have zero motivation to start it up again. Just thinking about the gunplay or whatever and the will to play it just drains out of me.

I bought it on sale, played it for like an hour and then let it sit for like 2 months before I touched it again. I ended up beating it but yeah it was never really as fun as I wanted it to be. I have no idea how it was getting perfect scores in reviews

I have a weird relationship with their stuff.

I played Dishonored 1 + all the DLC in about a week. I could barely get through the first few levels of Dishonored 2. Just couldn't stand it for some reason. It felt weird to play.

Prey on the other hand I loved. Finished it twice. Nobody makes immersive sims like Arkane does. In fact no one really makes them at all these days which is such a huge shame.

I think it's mostly the AI. It's super weird/bad. You're either fighting 2 people at a time for the whole level or 500 at once like it's Kung Fu Hustle, which just means you need to keep retreating to reset them and then wander back to pick them off a few at a time.
