so i love the phone, but the curved screen is weird

i like the curved screen, but it sucks when it comes to cases and screen protectors. i have an otterbox, and even the defender pro is much thinner than any otterbox ive ever had.

anyone else have a pixel 6, 6a or 6 pro?

I came very close to getting the Pixel 6, but removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack was a dealbreaker for me

understandable. i use wireless earbuds, but i used to use the 3.5mm headphone jack in my car on my pixel 3a. i ended up buying a usb-c to 3.5mm adapter and it works fine in my car.

If using with wireless earbuds, get yourself an equalizer app.

It makes such a noticeable difference.

Here's my favorite.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jazibkhan.equalizer

You can close the app once you adjust the settings and it will run in the background.

Cheers.

Had my pixel 6 pro since launch. Love it. Yes the fingerprint sensor is a bit slower than others but it isn't a huge bother. Like you said, cases eliminate the curved screen problem, though I was used to it with my OnePlus 7 pro for years before the pix6. The camera bump is okay and unique. Not bad looking compared to a lot of the ugly camera housing coming out nowadays. And I find it useful when setting it down because it angles the screen towards you a bit if you're reading/watching something vertically

If rooted, be sure to install Adaway.

You can find it through F-Droid.

Only bad thing on having a rooted device though is that many streaming services won't allow playback. :/

Nice man, you got all the good stuff.

When I rooted my Pixel 3A, I put lineage OS on it which I liked. But the 6 pro doesn't have lineage OS yet, so I just decided to root it on stock OS. It kind of sucks but I'm actually getting used to the stock OS, and might even leave it that way when lineage finally does come out.

I have noticed some issues using some apps due to being rooted. I couldn't even log into the Amazon photos app, for example. But I ended up just using magisk hide (so the app can't tell that I'm rooted) and that fixed the problem.

I agree, the fingerprint sensor isn't as good as it was on the Pixel 1 or 3A. I do like that there isn't some bulge spot in the back of my phone though.

You're using your phone without a case? I'm too much of a wuss lol. The phone seems really fragile so I absolutely need a case.

Oh I'm still using a case. But the camera bulges out just a tiny bit still. I don't mind it lol

Yeah the phone is super slippery without a case. But the problem with going caseless is the curved edges and annoying mistouches/phantom touches due to it.

Magisk Hide?

First time hearing of this.

Sounds perfect if that indeed spoofs the device correctly.

Now you can go back to adding dog ear filters to your pictures on Snapchat. :D

what case are you using? so far the otterbox defender pro has been nice. i also have the spigen tough armor, which is perfect if you're looking for something lightweight.
