been watching people's reactions to The Weekend's Heartless on youtube for the past hour.

the song has some good beats to it and has some humor to it at the end with the frog/toad.

So pretty much The Weekend he's like the new Micheal Jackson or something?

I've been listening to a ton of his songs. He considers himself an artist more than anything else. It's all great but unfortunately he's a bit of a cycle. His past few albums kinda sings about the same thing. It's love breakup story.

He and his lover are together but goes through a really really I mean really bad breakup. He goes through a phase of "Fuck you bitch I don't need you" and a phase of regret that he lost his lover right after and feels like dying. It's a cycle

Every album by a male R&B singer is pretty much the Kubler-Ross Stages of Grief. It's something you just got to accept when approaching the genre.

The only time R&B really strayed from the formula was back during the socially conscious early 70s. The Ur-example, Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On", was initially turned down multiple times by Barry Gordy because it wasn't a collection of love songs.

OK, you got me. Might as well post a comedic R&B song. That's Betty Wright of "Tonight is the Night" fame playing the wife chewing the singer out.

RIP Dimples and Betty Wright.
