Harsher penalties for stuff. The suspensions have driven many users away. I used to get suspended very often, so I can tell you how annoying it is to see a six month suspension when you genuinely dont feel like you did anything to violate the TOS. The site is driving off the users.

it has improved since users like trick finger and swag net zero stopped posting

Has a lot to do with the trigger happy moderation of your post crowd.

Because they've banned all the interesting people. Even stating incontrovertible facts that make America look bad is enough to get warned here.

It's also really easy to state your opinions and not get modded when you don't get all emotional about it.

I would know. I use to get more emotional about topics and was constantly suspended. Now, Not much gets to me and I can state however I feel without getting suspended. My jokes still get modded. But that's fair. Im a habitual line stepper

I would agree with you, but some posters still get ass hurt over sensitive words. You can lift the censor bypass but you can't remove the censorship from the overly sensitive ninnies of the world.

I just wouldn't use those words then. That way they couldn't avoid my points by focusing on them. I'm not proud over what words can be used or not. I'll just still use those words with people not so sensitive and not use them around people who are too sensitive to concentrate on the conversation if they're used. If the main goal is to try to get someone to understand your intention, it's best not to get caught up on the petty things that can distract from it for whoever you're talking to. I think people just get too proud over petty shit and it makes it so they never even get to core conversation.

Of course, some people are just disingenuous and are purposely looking for any escape from the real conversation. But, who cares about those people. Those are the last people I want having any influence on how I carry myself

While I can see the point, I also see the point that people should have thicker skins when interacting publicly. You can not live your life in bubble wrap.

Oh, I agree. But that's something they gotta live with when they walk away from the conversation, not me. Im apathetic as hell to offensive stuff and don't step on my own fun. And I feel like me trying to change their whole world perspective would also be stepping on my own entertainment I get from conversations. I just wanna get to what I wanted to talk about.

The unfortunate problem is that often they don't want to talk about what you want to talk about.

They believe the grand delusion that they're saving the site and making it safe.
