Sometimes. Though sometimes, its to get an earlier start on college (if thats why theyre entering the military) Or so they can have a job to care of themselves or their family Depends on the person. That said, even if a lot of them wanted to go to combat, most wont. Theyll most likely end up with a job on some random base

I understand someone still finding an 18 year old sexually attractive, but I'm not interested.
They can be terribly difficult in this decade to housebreak and they just want to piss all over the place.

This. I never had any interest in enlisting, but I'm from a military family. None of them are warmongers or violent, it's just the career path they took. Hell my cousin is like 43 and he just retired with a pension of like $150k/yr. He was a West Point grad tho
