ive been up about 22-26 hours and I want to take a melatonin sinceim startign to feel sleepy, will it make me sleep longer than usual or no?

Yea, melatonin kinda knocks you out for a few hours.

Read the back of the label and follow the instructions. Generally 1 gummy (2.5 mg) is all you need to have a good sleep. Dont take too many though at once

It doesnt make me fall asleep longer since my body is used to waking up at 6am but it does knock me out about 30 minutes after I take it. I would recommend just taking one 5mg pill and see how it goes. You might wake up feeling groggy as shit though.

Its really not that serious of a substance, if you follow the dosage instructions theres no need to worry about something bad happening.

I like to do pushups when I cant sleep. I tried taking melatonin a few years ago but it didnt do much for me.

ya its just that i have been going to bed at 6am every day so i want to go back to to my reg sleep schedule.

im stayin gup for about 24 hours then before I crash I wan tto take it so I fall asleep longer.

usually when I do this I sleep for 4 hours then wake up wide awake, I want to get more than just 4 hours thus ima take melatonin so I can maybe sleep longer

I thought melatonin doesn't make you sleep, more like it helps alleviate things that keep you awake/interfere with your normal sleep.

Apply blue-light filters to all your screens around 8-9pm each day (most PC's and smartphones, you can schedule it to auto-set) and Valerian tea and that will help get your Circadian rhythm back on track.

Beware though, as Valerian tea before you brew it literally smells like compost. So keep it in an airtight jar/metal container.

Melatonin helps you fall asleep. It doesn't help you stay asleep, in my experience. I usually wake up after my first REM cycle.

You know how sometimes if youre on a schedule, youll get sleepy at a certain time every night? Thats your own internal melatonin kicking in to make you sleepy.

Taking the pills helps put you on that schedule if youre out of wack. Take them at 8pm every night for a while then after a bit youll start getting drowsy around 8pm.

They dont knock you out, or keep you out, or anything like that at all. Theyre just meant to aid getting back on schedule.

sadly i got like 3 hours of sleep in but ima pop one after the ecf and hope I get 8 hours in.

yeah I used to get sleepy af round 2-3am by watching netflix now its just gotten so bad im up till 7am until i crash

Do something during the day to wear yourself out. If I want to reset my schedule, I set a few alarms around the time I want to wake up. Even if I don't have to be up and ignore them, being woken up few times every day will slowly program you to wake up .

Guys I took it and honestly I am not sure if it worked, took it a few mins lest of the nba game and I think around 1115 and I fell asleep 1230(was tired even before taking jt) and got 4 hours of sleep.woke up halfway thru to thinking it was 6am but it was only 2 am

I didnt know how the fuck to take it. I have spring valley melatonin and jt says to just take it, I ended up having half of it dissolving then drinking the last 20% down with water.

not sure if it did anything

@SiO4 I was thinking about taking 2 next time didnt know 5mg was a lot

Ya, I had to get the 5mgs once, as that was all they had.

i use 3mg tabs n it helps some but not always it needs 2b paired with not eating b4 bed n doing enough shit during the day

Melatonin gives me nightmares and violent dreams. I have never had such screwed up dreams till I took it, dosage doesn't matter. I take knockoff allergy medicine that helps with my allergies and puts me to sleep in no time.
