Current Events > Soooo my kid said shes sick of watching Morbius. Should i disown her?

Every day when I pick her up from school, we eat dinner and watch a lil Morbius before i have to go to work (we can usually get in a viewing and a half if she isnt being a slowpoke).

Then on my breaks, I facetime her and we watch some Morb in 3 segments.

Then i get home around 4am, and i wake her up early so we can watch it a couple of times before school (sometimes I take her out of school and call off work so we can watch all day and night. I tell the automated attendance lines its for a "Morbius Marathon of Madness", Im sure they understand)

I had a big MeMorbial watch party planned for this Monday, but she came up to me and said "Da, I have something to tell you. Please dont get mad". I though she was just gonna tell me she robbed someone or broke something, but what she told me made me furious, sad and like a failed parent all in one. She told me "The truth is, I dont like Morbius very much and dont want to watch it anymore. I am getting no sleep and my head really hurts".

I dont know what to do. Should I just try to show her the light and make her watch more(bius) until it "clicks"? Or should i just disown her for being a lost cause? Someone guide me please.

When she doesn't morb, you morb harder. Try putting it on while she sleeps she morbdreams perhaps?

Thats a good idea! Maybe if she dreams about Morbius, she can truly embrace him!
