Worked for Loki. Honestly the only decent villain they have so far outside of Killmonger. I welcome another broken villain people actually care about at this point.

Loki didn't become more villainous, though? He redeemed himself by helping Thor. So that doesn't explain what the other poster said.

Uh. Kinda late after they basically assassinated her character in Multiverse of Madness.

I can't fathom the reason why anyone would pay attention to MCU stuff after Endgame came out. It was a nice tidy ending to a longrunning series. At this point it's just milking the thing.

but she made dead a lot of people. in gruesome horrific ways too.

This is good news.

I think she should have gotten a movie before Captain Marvel did. Elizabeth Olsen is a better actor and was there before Brie Larsen was.

If Scarlet Witch and Black Widow had preceded Captain Marvel, there wouldn't have been the same backlash. But hey, better late than never.

It just goes to show, if you want a good movie, you need a good character and not one whose fate is determined by spreadsheets.

I dont care if shes alive or dead. They basically turned her into a mass-murdering sociopath who felt bad when two child actors who were acting poorly felt scared. Kind of hard to redeem that.

She's boring and has like no on screen cool moments in the MCU. She's not like Cap or Iron Man that makes major decisions to the aspect of being a hero and how their own personal life gets in the way. She's not like Black Widow where you're surprised with her capabilities and learn more about her without her revealing her actual backstory, she's not Black Panther where he's asking major questions about resource distribution and who deserves it, she is not even the Hulk where he has a human motif of releasing uninhibited emotions and then feeling shame. She has nothing. What is her driving point, why does she exist? I don't care about how she exists, obviously she was in a scene and then she started being in more scenes. She doesn't have a bitterness about her brother dying or being separated or anything. She is not even like a Jean Grey/Phoenix where she has a looming alter ego that actually threatens everything around her. Well she is on paper but it's not expressed at all. They tried to do the 'Tony/Professor X keeps me in shackles because he's scared of my potential' thing, but that doesn't last long at all nor is it even a major theme of the movie it happens in. She does not even fucking have a consistent accent.

The MCU really wants me to care about her and her love story with Vision (who is also boring). If anything, Vision even loving back is kinda weird to me, he's a robot made to be a robot with cosmic energy, but I digress. It could work but it doesn't. They also want me to understand the pain of her losing her boring loved one. They want it so bad that she actually comes off entitled, like she's the only one who lost something, or she lost the most out of everyone (yawn).

It's like the same thing Disney does with the new Star Wars chars, just sets up scenes for them to appear to have depth but there are no stakes, no development of traits because none were established in the first place. Just their face, cue the orchestra music to fit the mood, the expression on their face, deliver the line, but there is no context.

If she became the penultimate villain, it would juxtapose her very minor role in the plot and progression of the MCU thusfar. It would bring up morality in the Avengers of dealing with a previous ally. Not that it's a brand new plot device, but MCU hasn't really explored those themes. It would make sense because she is powerful enough to become the end villain. In terms of power creep and popularity, there aren't a lot of choices higher than Thanos with the gauntlet. It would make her not boring, and at the very least, it would make the rest of the Avengers more interesting in the way they deal with her.

I don't count Civil War as the same theme as if Black Widow was the actual villain to defeat. I wouldn't want "she's just possessed" or anything like that. Just straight up she's the villain.

Considering how terrible her character was in Strange 2, I have negative interest in seeing more of Scarlet Witch, even if I've mostly loved Olson's acting.

the end of MoM makes me think they are setting up for the Xmen to show up. Her teleporting to another universe is going to make it possible to for there to be some Xmen movies with there being a crossover to fight the big bad, whoever they end up making that be.

Provided this is real (which is most likely not the case), Wanda getting her own movie is stupid. We just had a movie about her, on the heels of an entire show for her. Give her character a break.

It would undue her death in Doctor Strange 2, unless it's some alternate reality Wanda like in "Loki". And that would be equally as stupid.

Also, what would the plot be about? It can't be a prequel, and unless they bring in the X-Men they can't really do much else with her atm. I don't doubt she's going to be in a future movie/show, but let her character rest for a while until a few years after they *do* bring in the X-Men.

Liked her as a villain in MoM. She was actually menacing to the protagonist as he knew he had no chance of stopping her. Glad they are going to flesh her out more.
