And with that, I do have some regrets about leaving behind the walled garden ecosystem of devices (this included) but those regrets still have yet to outweigh the benefits for me. I'm pretty shocked they managed to pull off the unrolling of their own chips so well this time around. Much like IBM, intel's chips and fabrication process went down the shitter for too long to keep up with Apple's projected progress. Even now, a macbook would either explode or be clocked too low to compete with the current model if you put even a 12th gen intel chip inside. And the battery life, literally generations apart.
