"I can't believe you would try to use this tragedy for political gain! We should be thinking and praying about it, not learning from it."

I'm sorry, but 10,000 of ANYTHING on a PS2 would absolutely destroy your framerate. It'd be like playing chess through the mail. ~johnboy1

It makes sense considering Congress (especially the Senate) is full of people that don't actually do their job.

The reality is that a mass shooting is inherently going to be a political situation anyway.

The real self report comes though when the people saying "don't make it political" are saying it after someone comes out and says "these killings are horrendous and I think we should start to do the bare minimum in gun control reform to help prevent these from happening in the future"

Like, no, that's not a political statement, that's something that any sane normal person should also think in the wake of 30+ people be killed in a mass shooting in 2 weeks, and it's weird that you can view that as a 'politcal statement'

"How long should we wait to talk about it?"
"Let's wait a month. Out of respect for the victims, of course."

One Month Later...

"That incident is in the past. Why bring it up now?"

This its one thing if a tragedy is all based on some degree of accidental incident or force of nature but mass shootings will always be a political issue.
