Nah. Video games rendered books obsolete in the same way computers rendered typewriters obsolete. No reason to go backwards.
Those are literally two completely different mediums. And generally speaking, the writing of books is vastly superior to that found in the games industry.

Yeah that was a strange post.

I think they both have strengths and weaknesses. I dont think one makes the other obsolete at all.

How do you feel about reading books?
Big fan, nice relaxing thing to do.

Last book you bought or borrowed?
It was either A Pickle For The Knowing Ones by Lord Timothy Dexter, or The Executioner - War Against the Mafia by Don Pendleton.

Same. Im a slow reader. I blame the fact that I basically never read anything we were required to read during at least high school. I just wasnt interested and didnt have the discipline to force myself. Now that I actually want to read, Im slow and ineffective.

I've read it. Prose is strong, but also dry, which I liked and my sister hated. The attention to consistency of magic is a highlight. She doesn't kill the mystery by turning it into shonen phleb, but it's clear that there are logical underpinnings and metaphysical ties.

That sounds like it could be a fun read.
