In fact, I've legitimately grown tired of people spewing this nonsense in an attempt to downplay the actions of the person / abuser in this situation, and the put both on similar footing. It's gross. I don't care about Depp or Heard from a realistic standpoint, they don't care about me either. It's the potential outcome of the case I'm interested in and the highlighting of men in this situation also being on the receiving end of more abuse in relationships than people realise and hopefully, less normalising of shit behaviour from women in general. If we can put men on a pedestal for the bad actions of a few, we can do the same for women. Her + most of the witnesses and experts she's called have looked really bad in this trial.
