Just got to the credits... my goodness this game is wonderful! Absolutely a 10/10. If you like the genre at all, jump in head first.

I thought the title said Rogue Galaxy 2 and I clicked fast.

I have to say I wasnt a huge fan. The difficulty is way up over the original and I understand being a rogue lite means youre going to die a ton. But I felt like making substantial progress just takes way too long and you really dont get enough gold to really make progress at a decent pace.

everything hits hard, you need to invest in health immediately and then armor or attack.

you can probably spend hundreds of grinding and grueling hours to get far into endgame.

I don't consider myself an expert gamer or anything, I got the credits in 50 hours and the worst boss encounter killed me 5 times. It is harder than the first game but I wouldn't say it is unfairly difficult or anything.

It played too fast for me to get into. I must be getting old.

I don't know if I'd call it a 10/10. I have some issues with the way some of the later areas are. I have a massive health pool, yet I'm still dying constantly. It's at a standstill right now, just grinding up money for more health/attack.

i got the true ending in a bit over 60 hours, great game

vegan was the best/easiest perk for a gold run

I'm wrapping up my NG+2 in the next couple of runs. Got most of the bosses on this run

EDIT: For those talking about late game run times, finishing the game the first time took me about 40 hours and I was so over leveled I pretty much beat NG+1 on the next run right after that. NG+2 kicked my teeth in at first but I've got it under control now too at the 60 hour mark. You have to finish NG+7 to get the "true" ending. I expect that will probably take to the 100 hour mark or so. I tend to do full dungeon clears, though. Every single room I can before I start tackling bosses

Wow, I watched someone beat it in two streams of around 8 hours. I might have to up my opinion of their gaming skills.

Either that or people here mostly suck >_>

IDK what you define as the "annoying bits" of Hollow Knight but in general this isn't nearly as difficult. The difficulty curve is much smoother and the platforming is much, much easier. The biggest difference between this and many similar games, including the first Rogue Legacy, is healing is *much* less reliable. Once you get a good grasp for HP management it just comes down to either having the skills or not, and practice makes perfect there

nice to hear. i really enjoyed the first and got a good 40hours out of it. need to make some time for the 2nd at some point.

I loved the first game. Definitely gonna have to pick this one up.

Shame its not on PS4.
