they are a "honorable" warrior race alien species

so naturally they cheat just like sayains mandalorians (not a race i know) and klingons

and well every single warrior race in fiction

not a single one has honor

It's a rule in writing. If a character talks about fair play, it's only so that they can "shock" the audience with their hypocrisy when they cheat.

I don't know about cheating, but they don't kill pregnant people, and they also don't seem to kill people with no weapons...

So, the new movie is going take place in like the 1600s? That doesn't seem that great to me...

for the sayians, they often used the artificial moon thing to turn into giant monkeys so they could take over worlds.

How is taking advantage of a natural ability cheating? Also no saiyan outside of Vegeta is shown or stated to use the artificial moon. Furthermore if the artificial moon is cheating then so are ki blasts.

I'm a huge Predator/Alien fan and The Predator is the only movie of those franchises I outright hated

I like all the Predator movies and AVP:R but I dont like Prometheus and I only like Alien: Covenant a little bit

There's some form of "worthy enemy" involved, like whenever they decide to go no-armor no-weapons against Arnold or someone similar.

Of course, he nukes himself when he starts losing so the honor aspect is a little murky.

Maybe we'll find out how he got that old western gun at the end of 2

There's some form of "worthy enemy" involved, like whenever they decide to go no-armor no-weapons against Arnold or someone similar.

Of course, he nukes himself when he starts losing so the honor aspect is a little murky.

Those are the moments that show the Predator as more than just a killer though.

Both have very good reasons too. They dont like to reveal themselves to their prey. Killing pregnant women means no more future hunts. Same with killing random unarmed people. It reveals more than the predator would want.

I always got the sense they are like samurai or dwarf death seekers. They hunt until they find something worthy enough to kill them.

The nuke is always to preserve their secrets and technology. That it happens to be a giant fuck you is just a sweet bonus.

Also had some cowboys and medieval stuff.

Honestly I think Josey Wales could take on a Predator.

Honestly, I thought there had been one since The Predator.

There's no honor for them in killing prey that can't really defend themselves: Children, sick, elderly, unarmed if helpless(that's why it fought Dutch when unarmed but didn't go after the woman) and pregnant. The self-destruct is more of a way of not letting their tech to be discovered.

Now the Black Yautja/Super Predators don't care for any of that.
