I've never been a huge gamer, but my god, this game is so damn good.

I don't even remember the last time I fell in love with a game like this. It's challenging, has buttery smooth combat, great art, fantastic voice acting, and just has tons of replay value.

I wouldn't be surprised if I was still playing this game years from now lol.

Its a pretty great idle game with IAP that you dont actually NEED to progress in the game. Its well balanced and has a tonne or gameplays mechanics that unlock as you progress and multiple layers of prestige.

Neh. I just don't really get like that anymore. Elden Ring came close, but I would of been fine if it was taken away. Imma take a hiatus to try to get that type of feeling back by the colder seasons where I gotta be indoors 24/7

Xenoblade 1 DE got the closest late last year. Unfortunately I could stop playing and had to do all sorts of contortions to come up with extra replay value.

Splatoon 2. Mostly because I'm hyping myself up for part 3.

There's two different single player modes, but one is DLC.
I play a little of both, but it's all about the multiplayer.

Not easy finding the right weapon and sensitivity for your play-style though. >_>

Yes. A lot actually. I was very grateful for it getting me closer to playing FFX for the first time again than I ever really thought I'd get. There was even a bit where I started mixing up their names, calling the main two Tidus and Wakka until I decided I liked them and committed their names to memory.

If I'd known how good it was before I'd been lent a Switch and played it, maybe I'd have a strong reason to buy a Switch. Back to square zero.

Yeah I went all in on Hades for a while. I think I still have something on the Fates to do, or some dialogue to find. Gotta hear em' all.

I got back on the Warframe grind, because I hate myself I guess.

oh man I had a multiple runs after work every night for a while with Hades. Always trying to master something, increase heat challenge runs, unlock more dialogue etc

Right now its L4D2 on PC. I play a few rounds every day. Adv - Expert 50/50, Workshop maps and mods make it stay refreshing.

Pretty much played Hades non-stop from mid December 2020 to end of January 2021...then again after buying it for the Switch in March.

Modded Slay the Spire

Been hooked on a couple of Slay the Spire-like games called Roguebook and Griftlands, both have been enjoyable and have me pretty addicted.

Last game that hooked me hard, start to finish, all I wanted to play til it was finished was Spiritfarer.

When I was searching for Gothic 3 addons, I found some reviews - http://www.terragame.com/zx_spectrum_and_glasses.html and read about tools like Borderless Gaming and Reshade and their usage with games. Unless I've got 45-50fps, after enabling around ten of ReShade filters, I did not expect that Gothic 3 graphics can be improved so significantly, closer to Witcher 2, if not even 3. I did not know previously, that shaders can "add" polygons to ingame meshes, objects, and NPCs to look more detailed. Not sure if I will replay Morrowind, but I've installed Overhaul and tuned it up to almost max detail/visibility range. And the game, along with ReShade, downed fps on my Radeon R9 370 to pitiful 35-40 fps.:)

I've had a really difficult time getting really into games like I used to. Fallout 4 was probably the most recent game that I really felt invested in.

I've played a lot of Yakuza recently though. I never really delved into Dark Souls/Elden Ring, I don't know if I'd really be into the hyper-challenging aspect of them, but the world and lore seem like the kind of thing I could get into.

I feel like the last 8 years have really lacked the great adventures that existed 10-15 years ago, the Mass Effects, Dragon Ages, Fallouts, Skyrims that felt so deep and immersive.

hades was like this for me when I first played it for like 2-3 weeks or so and then it suddenly and instantly went from unable to stop playing -> don't really care about at all. game gets more and more same-y the more you play imo

nothing fits this description for me atm, I've been very into don't starve together recently but since I'm playing with friends we have to line up schedules and it means I can't do the nonstop playing you could do in a singlle player game

I've been playing a lot of Wolf 3D and Borderlands 3.
