Because theyre not a bad breed, they just have bad owners. Chihuahuas should be regulated first.

As someone with a pitmix not trying to do all that. Id do all that if it overall made it safer for children. I have a good dog, but we been approached by other pits trying to fuck with us on several occasions. One got to us cause the people with it literally had a broken board on their fence that might as we been an open door. I was following the fence and at the end the dog just darted out at my dog. It's behavior mademe believe it was just trying to protect it's home. But obviously that's still not my problem and it's got irresponsible as fuck owners.

Honestly, I mightbe lucky I got a deep voice. Because either the dogs aren't actually about that action or they're scared of me when I yell. Impossible for me to tell, but I can always threaten them and make them leave by yelling and staring them down. They're probably just not actually killers and just don't care once I leave their house area. But who knows. I like the idea that Im just a big toughie

Your argument seems to be people need to be regulated, not dogs.

I think they should, if not straight up outlawed from residential ownership.

- Dog breed has a history of being used for defence and was domesticated with that purpose

- People want a dog for defence and get that breed of dog

- People have no idea how to actually train a dog for defence, dog defends the best it can with no training, is seen as violent.

- People who want a dog for violence hears about this misunderstanding about the dog, gets that breed of dog

- Dog is violent because it is raised to be violent by violent people

- People think dog breed is violent

It is a vicious circle that has entirely to do with training and what purpose people want dogs for. There is no doubt that in the process of domestication pitties were used for herding, hunting, and guardianship. Also they were used for bull baiting and ratting.

All these aspects of them are something that needs to be properly trained.

You don't even read people's posts do you? There's people calling for bans in pretty much every pitbull topic. And not just the ones that are joking. People who will write full paragraphs about it.

If that happened people would release their pits into the wild and start keeping violent but unregulated dogs.
