I was wondering what the Green Ranger outfit might look like if it were in MMPR the movie. Apparently someone on Deviant art made a Green Ranger mock-up (user Bilibo86):

Those proportions are not flattering, and the crown is too thick at the forehead. Still, neat to see.

Yeah, not really sure. I think the suit needs some work, like the center shield piece, and also it seems like it took some elements of the helmet from much later modern interpretations of the Green Ranger Helmet, with the Gold accents. That should probably be dialed back

^The hold reason for the weird-ass DinoThunder version of the helmet was some sort of IP dispute. Original is sleeker, dunno why they chose this one for the mockup.

Also, green holster? I mean this probably isn't the final version, but some weird, like, beta drafts here.

I think I've seen that one before. The shield would probably be molded into the suit much like the White Ranger shield was, with a Dragon Coin crest, and updated helmet (without the gold).

Airhammy please tell me you have the skills to make this change visually

The silver stripe didnt happen until the Disney era (and it was apparently sent to the PR studio like that from Toei) so it's unlikely that they would've made that change in the movie. There'd also probably be a big "Dragonzord" circle in the chest plate lol

Though come to think of it, I wonder how the scenes would've looked. The White Ranger looks really good contrasting a lot of the night/dark fight areas. If he was still Green it may have changed how some of the scenes were shot.

it was a solid movie and worth watching
and hey first mainstream LGBT superhero in a blockbuster movie thanks to them making trini a lesbian

a lot of the dialogue was cringy though

It pissed me off the movie isn't canon and how bad the CGI was, it was so bad. The TV show had better effects than the movie.

I would have loved to seen the Green Ranger in the movie.

It would have been cool if they could have integrated it into the TV storyline the way the Turbo movie was

The new movie was trash. The suits looked like cheap knock offs of Iron Man.

But then Season 2 happened.

I like the suits, Ivan Ooze could have been a cool villain too in subsequent seasons had the movie been canon. They could have found a way to incorporate him.

Lord Zedd should have smacked him too.

I would have loved to see the Dragonzord in the movie but with how bad the CGI was, It would have looked bad. Plus the movie would have been over quick, Tommy summons the Dragonzord and it squashes Ivan.

in season 3 they had the metallic armor power boost which just made there regular spandex covered in glitter
they should have used the movie costumes for the metallic armor
but i hear that the movie suits had issues and kept falling apart during the filming of the movie

You could always see a huge quality drop every season when they ran out of Sentai footage. Green Ranger looked like he was wearing foam in the Lord Zedd episodes. The robot bad guys in Zeo looked awful when they started shooting more footage for it in the states.

They were mostly made of pvc, and had limited flexibility. I always meant to try to make a costume of my one one day...

I was a huge fan back in the day, Green Ranger was my favourite, I only wish the movie had been made when Tommy was still the Green Ranger and it would have made for a better story.

The new movie was really stupid, turning the Rangers from good kids who care about people to unlikeable delinquents. The suits were woeful, the Zords looked shite. I'm glad further movies were scrapped.

I want to see David Yost and what he can do with Quantum Continuum. It sounds promising.

Another thing I want to see is Lord Drakkon brought from the comics to Live Action. Plus I'd have had a different idea for his Zord, call it Dralconzord, basically it'd be a mashup of the Dragonzord & Falconzord, body of the Dragonzord with redesigned Falconzord wings. The Zord would shoot a stream of fire.

OP took parts from either the part where Tommy has the mega morpher, or the fight against Ryu

Fucking yes! Lord Drakkon is so damn cool. He's my favorite to play as in Battle for the Grid.

when she replaced kimberly they were fighting tengas instead of putties and they always used the ninja ranger power mini morph to fight them

then in zeo they always transformed to fight the robot version of the putties
it wasnt until turbo when they characters started fighting out of their costumes again

That is fascinating, mostly because I'm pretty sure Kat was for me what Kimberly was for most young boys watching Power Rangers.

in season 1 only jason was played by an actual teenager
his actor was 19 when filming started while all the other actors were in their 20s

in season 2 only adam was played by an actual teenager as johnny yong bosch had just turned 18 when cast.

zacks actor was missing a finger so they often tried to hide his hand and not show it on screen but it slips by a few times and you can see him missing one.
i dont remember if he lost it in an accident or if it was a birth defect

I didn't realise Walter lost a finger but then again I was a kid still growing up.

Looked it up, says he lost it when he was 4 years old.
