They happened across the country.

Ours was good, mostly uneventful. A couple of chuds tried to screech at us, but there were 1,000x more cars honking and pedestrians cheering their support.

Do you think they would welcome a guy who shows up as a gimp and lays down on the ground with a "sit on my face(ladies only)" sign

Um, I played Friday the 13th (NES version) for the second day in a row and defeated the patriarchy by having female camp counselors throw axes and torches at Jason.

No I made the stupid mistake of going to a graduation party for a lady friend. I would have had more fun at a protest.

I did. First time ever doing anything like it. Portland, OR. It was largely uneventful. A man did scream something about women 'abandoning their birthright' which is creepy as hell. Also, a small trashcan fire and one small fight.

The sound system was not great and the rally lasted over 2 hours before the march started, so the crowd had thinned a bit by then. But I would say successful? Marched near the front and chanted. It was a really interesting experience, knowing that everyone around me more or less shared the same views.

It's a good feel.

Ours wasn't a march so much as it was a gathering on the Boston Common. Among others we had Senator Ed Markey and the MA Attorney General Maura Healey. About half of the presenters were women of color, and they really hammered the point home.

Whole thing was two hours. There was another protest at Copley Square later in the day, but I was getting tired being out in the sun that long.

EDIT: Oh and there weren't any altercations or counter-protest. Boston's pretty damn great like that.

I had no idea they even happened until I saw this thread. Even if I knew about them before, I wouldn't have attended one. I got better shit to do like playing around with a 20 year old computer or reading manga.
