And even then... Rantaro just barely lasted longer than Mukoro, right?

Rantaro lasted a little bit longer, but also had relevant screentime via flashback later.

I guess Mukuro did too but if anything, I feel that if characters are so equal in likability, characters that lasted longer should be getting votes since they had more chance to show something interesting more.

Though I guess Mukuro reaaaally showed something in the anime.

Like, Toko needed an entire other game just to be somewhat interesting and not annoying and one note. A game that technically should not be counted based on the OP.

Kirumi was a bit boring, but she at least was smart. Her theory in why Gonta did the first kill made sense. I wish she lasted longer. I feel the opposite for Toko.

Nah, you can base your votes on whatever you want. I just stuck with the three main games for casting to keep things at a reasonable number.

Voting Kyoko cause I just don't like her and that's more than I can say for Amami who I just have very few feelings toward other than slight intrigue.

If it wasn't for UDG I'd put Toko on the very bottom. But now I'm not so sure. I guess Mukuro because even with everything I've seen of her, her relationship with Junko and what she stands for is still very confusing. I can't tell if she's a victim or an accomplice.

RIP Rantaro. I liked how he interacted with the plot but this is a pretty stacked line-up.

Even if you ignore the fact that she got a lot of characterization through the anime she is easily one of the more interesting characters even as only a plot point. Rantaro living longer doesn't even come close to how relevant either are to my enjoyment of their arcs.

Toko is carried pretty hard by Jill, but she at least gets improvement in Ultra Despair Girls.

There's really no one I dislike in this round. Hrm.

A twist is as good as the information it recontextualizes. Rantaro being a returning player was pretty interesting, but as a twist it is no where even close to as big as the other twist of V3-1: that Kaede wasn't the murderer. Similarly, the act of finding out Junko wasn't dead flipped the entire first game on its head and is arguably a big reason why the game became a series in the first place. Rantaro was interesting, Mukuro was instrumental.
