Btw they found a good girl I think for the role as she looks similar to the drew Barrymore original in many ways

I never felt the need to see it in the cinema, because tbh the book is probably lower tier King at best (he's in his element when things just happen IMO - for my money he killed the book when he spent so long explaining the why of Charlie), and I don't really rate the original movie.

I'm up for giving it a watch on streaming if the consensus is good, though.

@Tom_Clark hey dude well I think yeah I have seen original at some point though I don't remember it much now. I mean I been watching horror movies since 1990 so I definitely should had seen it when younger sometime. Well since the streams I have are free it not much loss to me I'd it's a bad movie, still I would like any opinion to help reinforce my choice in viewing it. I just like the girl they chose.

Oh by the way I don't know Zac Efron was her dad! That's pretty cool. Efron moved up to dad age roles now yet doesn't have a dad bod, he's still in great shape lol

To be fair to Efron, he's always stuck me as someone who was in the Di Caprio Trap - a genuinely good actor who was initially in a predicament where he was too good looking and baby-faced to be taken too seriously until he started looking more grown-up. Hopefully there's big things on the horizon for him, because when he can show what he can do, he's actually really good.
