Conservatives are gaining more and more influence these days, and it's due to their heavy investments on media outlets, think tanks, troll farms, etc. This has been going on for decades now and their efforts are about to bear fruit. They even have the infrastructure needed to both develop and install judges to alter the country's political agenda to their favor. We have seen how devastating this strategy can be in setting the country back.

Meanwhile, leftists are struggling with a system that continues to work against them. Why is it hard for leftists to fight fire with fire? Even if they know they're 100% in the right, it won't amount to much if the rest of the country is too gullible for their own good. And if the majority of citizens are not going to stop being gullible, does it not stand to reason that perhaps leftists should use the far right's soft tactics to manipulate people into following a better political direction?

There is no such thing as fairness anymore. Unlike centrists, a lot of leftists already know how subtly rigged the system is to the far right's benefit. While the left should not stop using protests to demand for change, they also need to expand their repertoire of tactics, preferably those that can match of exceed the far right in terms of sneakiness. For instance, we need leftists brave enough to infiltrate the GOP and make subtle changes that benefit the people once they rise to power. Also, there needs to be a leftist version of the Federalist Society so that the next generation of judges won't be monopolized by the far right.

Not only that, but long-term, they're more likely going to lose to the moderate left, not to anything on the right. (And thank fuck for that.)

The left absolutely needs to start fighting fire with fire now. Trying to be "nice" and "being the bigger person" is no longer working, and we are facing a future where everyone but straight White Christian males are about to lose their rights indefinitely.

But, that is the righty strategy, at least until a couple or three generations ago when the left started using it as well.

The left doesn't have any power. They don't have the money the right has. And they're constantly pushed back by liberals and the moderate Dems in the guise of civility politics.

To add to this and be less flippant: there are lessons that can be learned from the success of the right, but you can't simply copy/paste the tactics of a well-funded movement seeking to enshrine the legal control of a small elite onto a mass movement seeking to build power for a broad coalition. To use a metaphor: Iraqi insurgents could not apply the tactics of the US Army.

The left needs to emulate the right's enthusiasm.

If the left were as motivated as the right, there would be no problem. Everyone would vote and the left would win by a landslide each time.

Instead, we get a bunch of "I shouldn't have to vote," "One vote doesn't count for anything," "They'll oppress my vote anyway," and "America sucks no matter what," attitudes. It's like people want to have their rights taken from them so they'll have something to complain about.

Yeah, this is the biggest problem. The majority of the money is in the hands of conservatives and far-right organizations.

They're already doing it.

They can't, got no money. What they need to do is take lessons from their forebears and apply them to an American context.

I'm confused about what you are defining as "leftist" and "far right" in your question

Democrats aren't leftists.

But in reality, they need to start organizing at a community network level. Those power structures are where real change will start.

Political party doesn't want you? Take it over. Political party resists the takeover? Take it over even harder.

People don't agree with you? Convince them. Manipulate them.

People try to silence you? Resist them.

The left is too preoccupied with symbolic, easy wins and clapping back on Twitter. Too easily cedes winning people over as a "waste of time".

tbf one thing leftists do need to do more often is lean into their more aggressive and angry stances and figures, the way the right does, to help its image. The left's big problem, image wise, is that they "look" like a bunch of pussy nerds, and no justly angry but stupid and incoherent halfwit (the sort of "apolitical" teenage dudebros who inevitably get suckered into Nazism because their life is literally worthless) is going to want to jump on that band wagon. They want to jump on the side with all the guns and money and chicks, and they want to listen to those guys speak, and dress like them and shit, even though they don't know how to use the guns, and the money is inherited, and the chicks are eleven, and the guys they're idolizing are literal subhumans like Josh Hawley and Sargon of Akkad, because those guys "scare" the "establishment". Well, the left has Che Guevara, Huey Newton, Malcolm X, and Lucy Parsons, and those guys and gals actually DID scare the establishment. The left doesn't even have to lie about it, unlike fascists.
