The vast majority of video games have some amount of blood and violence. Children's cartoons have blood and violence. Nothing in Kirby 64 is so graphically traumatizing that it couldn't be rated E or E10 >____>

Yep. That was one reason the game was pretty groundbreaking it proved that games don't need blood and gore everywhere to scare the shit out of you. They also did a magnificent job on the audio which sounds terrifying and still even outshines most horror games to this day. Lot of people were surprised by it's rating.

Exactly. It was E on N64. E on VC on Wii. E10+ on Kirby Collection for Wii. E on WiiU.

yeah. Barely counts as blood imo but if the rating literally says "blood," that's what it's referring to.

At first I thought it was that, but then I remembered that EarthBound and Mother both are rated T. Even if they were completely uncensored, I don't know how those games deserve anything higher than E10+. If they released Mother 3 with the fan translation, it probably would be rated M even though it doesn't even really deserve T.

Maybe if all enemies bleed like Zero Two I could see the game being rated T. Rating it for one fight which is a small part of the game is very weird.

And it's a boss most people probably won't even see because you have to 100% the game to fight it.

As soon as the Rated T for Teen popped up, I literally said "WHAT?!" I couldn't quite believe a Kirby game would be rated T in 2022. Just unfathomable lol.

Funny how two 64 games made by Nintendo just made the final boss bleed in E rated games. It's like they knew the ESRP wouldn't play that far into it.

Coincidentally, I had an interest in playing both games recently. I got to play Kirby 64 on Wii U. Now if KT will just re-release Fatal Frame...

Also btw if we're assuming that Kirby specifically is rated T and not the whole collection, the first Paper Mario also got a T rating when it released on Switch.
