It not popular. Other gacha game more likey.

I mean, I like the premise of it's story I just fell out of the grind. Could absolutely blow through to get the story content.

I quit FateGo. To many grind.

Oddly, Fate is the one I still play.

Only mobile game I play is puzzle and dragons. Only login daily. I have friends play. It old game. I login habit.

I guess I should throw mine out there since I'm asking. I first saw it in the mid to late 00s too but didn't really care. It was the sort of thing that'd find its way in if you watched fan animations, music or fangames of old franchises. One minute you're watching Mega Man or IWBTG then youtube starts finding ways to insert Marisa stole the precious thing or Ronald Mcdonald into the suggestions.
A few years later I was bored and very disappointed with the direction late 7th gen games were going so I gave the franchise a look and ended up finding a lot of what I liked. Rewarding gameplay, challenge, that satisfaction that comes from having something memorising, characters that were vague enough to let you interpret things how you wanted, lots of good music.
I was able to get normal 1ccs after a little while and beat most the extra stages (never had the interest to persist with 13's or 14's and GFW was straight up really hard.) I managed to 1cc 8, 10 and 11 on hard mode. I was really happy with the 11 1cc because that game's pretty daunting. Never finished grinding the 12 hard mode 1cc. Occasionally I feel tempted to pick a game and throw myself at lunatic difficulty.

Imperishable Night has to be the comfiest one though. Lots of character choices to further adjust your difficulty or keep it interesting, two final bosses, I really like the slow bullets but more bullets on the whole thing it does instead of just firing random shots really fast. Old World, Masterspark, Dream Battle, Cinderalla Cage, History Of The Moon, Lunatic Princess, Extend Ash and Reach For The Moon Immortal Smoke are a lot of pretty great songs in quick succession.

Unpopular opinion: Reach for the moon is one of my most disliked touhou tracks. I find it extremely bland and musically boring. It just doesn't do anything for me.

Extend Ash is amazing though and I really like all the other tracks you listed there as well.

What's everyone's worst track just out of curiosity? Mine's the clown fairy boss track from LoLK. I can't deal with it. I love the stage 1 and stage 4 themes from that game (stage 3 and stage 3's boss are both really good too) but that clown fairy theme I just can't take.

I struggle to listen to reach for the moon arrangements a lot of the time but I do find it catchy, when it clicks it's great and thought it was perfect for the fight. The repetition helps. She's immortal and isn't exactly going to lose, you're not having a high stakes fight you're agreeing to a test of endurance. I like to cut ZUN some slack and say that some of her cards aren't even good ones because why would she care beyond picking out a few top ones to save for the end? Better to have one and use it than to not. I always found Mokou to be one of the most fun ex bosses personally.

Worst song is a tough question. The first half of UFO does very little for me musically, Ten Desires doesn't do much on the whole but I appreciate Mamizou's for the variety, anything in 14 that isn't Wakasagihime, Seija or Raiko leaves me shrugging. I kind of soured on Parsee's theme and Kanako's after a while but I don't think I outright despise any at this point in time.
Edit: No wait I got it. Plain Asia. It has the issues you attribute to Reach For The Moon except I don't find it catchy and also I would rather Old World keep playing.
