A lot of the people we try to help were underinsured due to shady insurance practices like subtly changing wording to drop flood coverage from people directly in the path of regular hurricanes. There is a somewhat limited scope of what were allowed to have volunteers work on due to our own insurance and liabilities and it rarely feels like we can help people as much as we want to. Went from litigation to in-house work to the business side pretty fast.
