Second, it was to transport Canadian petroleum to American refineries to sell overseas. ellis123 05/10/22 4:01:36 PM #9:	The XL pipeline (ie. the one you are referring to) is an unfinished pipeline that was going to transport an extremely caustic form of crude oil across the US from Canada for processing. The reason that oil prices will be unaffected is because it was never finished and thus has never been relevant economically beyond the kickbacks paid to politicians. --- "A shouted order to do something of dubious morality with an unpredictable outcome? I'm sure that there are some minor instances of it somewhere. It's just that it's hard to really confirm any because searching for it in English just gets me a bunch of XL stuff even when I'm looking at stuff not even in the Americas. I want to say that there are some in Russia (guess what the other thing I'm getting is when I search...) but I can't confirm it. As mentioned it's extremely unprofitable versus just doing normal oil stuffs so basically nowhere wants anything to do with it.
