Doesn't really matter since cops do stuff like this and worse every day with no sort of punishment. This is inherent in the system. Cops think they can do whatever they want because they pretty much can.

I remember this. She didn't feel safe pulling over on an isolated road in the middle of the night, and basically did everything we tell people to do in that situation

It wasn't safe to pull over on that stretch of the road because of the road itself and lack of room on the side. She state driver's manual indicated that she should pull over when it was safe and use blinkers to indicate that was going to do that, which she did and explained to the officer. It's all in the video, which you neglected to watch.

Going by the video there isnt enough space on the shoulder of that highway. It would have caused traffic hazards if they just stopped on the middle of the road like that. She clearly was sending a signal to the cop that she intensed to pull over at some point.

This is why so many people hate and distrust police in America, they're so untrained and violent for no reason

When it is objectively undeniable that the police was at fault..so very few times

People hate cops because even when shit like this happens, the city just pays out of the taxpayers coffers and the cop is never punished

Sometimes the city doesn't pay at all

I had a cop flip out on me one time over something similar. He popped me going 10 over, which fine whatever, I got busted. He radared me right before a construction site though so when he tried to pull me over I couldn't pull over because the right lane was full of barrels. So I put on my flashers, slowed down significantly, and got off at the next highway exit and pulled into a gas station parking lot that was right off the exit ramp. Dude flipped out, came running up to the car screaming at me, demanding I get out of the car immediately and turn around so he could cuff me, told me he was going to arrest me for trying flee, all sorts of shit.

Luckily a slightly less unhinged and slightly higher ranked cop showed up at the gas station and when I explained the situation to him he told the other cop to write me a ticket and let me go. Dude wasn't happy about it.

Iirc the website for the police department even had these instructions but took them down after the incident.
