In terms of total hours played, Dragon Age ranks in like my top 5 most played series.

I've put like 500 hours into Origins(Console and PC) a solid 100 or so into 2 (<_<), and a solid 500-600 or more into Inquisition(360 and Xbone).

I just really enjoy the whole package

They don't make 'em like Origins anymore.

Yes, although I was never super into the lore of that world. I beat origins, but never played the other games.

Yes. Origins is one of my favorite games ever.

2 was okay, but deserves its criticisms. Inquisition was fine.

Mage is one of the more boring Origins.

The best are Human Noble and City Elf.

Bioware will never do anything as intense as the City Elf origin again.

Quit during the prologue of the first game. I think I was a mage. I did not care for any of that dream world shit

origins was great
2 was fun but flawed
inquisition was bland and tedious and i couldnt get over the uncanny valley on half the cast

Tried twice to get into DA:O, couldn't do it. My second attempt I was keeping a decent enough pace, made it through the long intro, the first village you could visit, the wizard's tower (?) area. Then I finished this castle area, had a sinking feeling that I'd missed something, checked a wiki and realized that, even though I'm a pretty thorough explorer, I'd somehow missed every optional find in the area (I didn't check this one room to save this one girl for a reward, I didn't talk to this one guy at the right moment to get a key to unlock a chest for a sword, etc). My motivation to continue with the game plummeted.

I think the thing that turned me off the most was that I was deep into my addiction to Bethesda-style open world experiences at the time, and DA's approach to the game world - everything's fucked, everything and everyone is actively getting swallowed into hell, that nice village you just visited has already been wiped off the map - was the opposite of what I was looking for in an RPG experience.

Dragon Age Origins was everything I wanted in a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate. I love that game so much. Dragon Age 2 soured me greatly. Like, a lot. I beat it, then never looked back (until beating it again last year with lower expectations). Inquisition is great. Like, seriously good. I hate the personnel cost to make the game, and Bioware Magic is a fucking smokescreen. I have no idea how DA4 is shaping up, and I'm very cautious about it. I want to see where the story is going. I'll buy it and play it for that. Bioware has me scared, though. They need a home run here. Anthem is hot garbage. Andromeda was worse. This needs to have a clear, concise vision and direction. No mushy meandering around trying to do 3 things at once.

Yeah. I love Dorian, but the painted on hair doesn't help anyone.

Yeah nearly every time I replay them I'm like "woah, this is so much better than I remembered!".

Except Inquisition, which got worse. Still good though. Despite having played through Origins 3 or 4 times and having got all the achievements, I still don't really understand the combat system. I do in theory, but in practice I have no idea why I do well or badly.

Only beat the first and Inquisition but played all 3. And the inquisition hate is completely unjustified.

Played all games in the series and love all of them, even 2. Inquisition and 2 definitely have their issues though, and I can't blame anyone for not liking them.

Inquisition might have my favourite cast as well, even the characters that make me wanna throw 'em off a cliff. Vivienne and Sera are both incredibly annoying in their own ways, but still great for what they are imo.
